Starting her career at community and local events, she gained the experience and knowledge that led to her being successfully cast for high profile fashion shows such as International Atlanta Fashion Week and Fashion TV@ London Fashion Week.

She has worked behind and in front of the camera at photo shoots and music videos, helping to raise the profile of various models and UK artists. Alongside her ongoing modelling career, Mackayla also trains, choreographs, co-ordinates and casts models for fashion shows.
